~ Activity Time ~ This is a wonderful time to focus on cooperation, sharing, taking turns, and imagination. Children choose from a variety of activities such as playdough, dramatic play, blocks, puzzles, puppets, trains, building toys, books, games, exploring the science table, easel painting, markers, and more.
During activity time one table is set up with items such as playdough or markers. The other table either has an art project or cooking project for the class to enjoy.
~ Story Time ~ A quiet time to enjoy listening to the teacher read a story. There's also time for the children to choose books to look at with friends. Reading is so important!
~ Art ~ A more structured activity is planned daily, often around a seasonal theme, with a wide variety of materials. The children enjoy making wood sculptures, watercolors, paper tube cities, and many forms of collage, to name a few. Enjoyment, creativity, and imagination are the main goals at the art table.
~ Cooking ~ Occasionally there's a cooking project instead of art. The children measure, stir, use a beater, and experience the wonder of creating their own snack. The groups make a wide variety of foods including cookies, pudding, butter, potato pancakes, and applesauce.
~ Snack Time ~ A simple snack with juice is enjoyed together with friends. Juice and snacks are provided by the school. Children enjoy bringing in an occasional snack to share with the group, and birthday snacks are always a hit.

~ Circle Time ~ This is a special time to gather the whole group together. The children enjoy songs, fingerplays, music and movement. The Threes and Fours also enjoy a group activity, and show & tell, where each child has a chance to talk, share thoughts, and listen to others.

~ Music ~ Sharing the enjoyment of music through movement, rhythm instruments, and song is a very important part of our daily routine. In addition to all the music and movement we do in the classroom, a music specialist visits the Threes and Fours, twice each month.

~ Outdoor Play ~ Our safe, enclosed yard has swings, slides, crossing bars, a sliding pole, wobbly bridge, climbers, sand, & even a tennis court to ride trikes on! The children have time at the end of every day to enjoy being outside.
~ Indoor Playground ~ We enjoy the outdoors as often as possible, even in the snow. But when the weather is rainy or especially cold, we set up an indoor playground with a trampoline, tunnel, sit & spins, slide, rocking boat, mats, and more.
